We act for a client who wishes to bequest the Foundation a substantial sum of money upon their death to be applied towards the Nelson Marlborough Rescue Helicopter Trust which falls under the management of the Foundation. David Kerr and John Rollston (as Trustee) have gone out of their way to assist us in preparing the relevant documentation to ensure the client’s wishes are correctly recorded.
We recognise that the Foundation manages endowments for local, volunteer organisations that serve the wider Nelson region. Many of our clients wish to support those organisations and through the excellent work and management of the Foundation they are able to do so.”
Craig Morice, Partner, Rout Milner Fitchett
"We decided to get involved with the Foundation because their absolute focus is on creating a vibrant community. Their work in promoting and encouraging philanthropy is all about ‘Being Good with money’, which is what BNZ is all about too.”
Stephen Paul, BNZ Managing Partner, Nelson Marlborough & West Coast
"Many thanks for this valuable funding for our staff supervision costs"
Natalie Gousmett, Nelson Women's & Children's Refuge.
"Port Nelson are very pleased to come on board as a sponsor for the Nelson Bays Community Foundation. The Nelson / Tasman region is blessed with gorgeous scenery and a lifestyle that is the envy of many throughout the country and abroad. At the same time like any community there are also many in our region that are struggling on a day to day basis and need the support of groups such as the Foundation to meet the challenges that they face. As a ratepayer-owned organisation we take seriously the social obligations that businesses such as ours have to support those in need in our community and look forward to assisting the NBCF in the great work that they do.”
Martin Byrne, Chief Executive Port Nelson Ltd
"The Tindall Foundation committed initial funding for the Nelson Bays Community Foundation. We now urge the rest of the community to play its part - for the sake of your children, their children, and future generations of Nelson Bays residents" Sir Stephen Tindall.
"Thank you so much for the work NBCF is doing - it will be a real boost to the charitable organisations in our region" 2015 Funding Applicant.
