Community organisations supporting families and social services in Marlborough, Nelson and Tasman are invited to apply for The Tindall Foundation’s final round of funding for 2018.
Nelson Bays Community Foundation is Funding Manager for the Supporting Families & Social Services programme, distributing donations on The Tindall Foundation’s behalf directly to the local communities in these regions.
In the first round of 2018 we were delighted to support the following organisations:
Victory Community Centre received $4,438 to fund training, professional development opportunities and ongoing supervision to support the Centre’s volunteers to build their confidence, skills and experience in order to move into paid employment in the community.
LifeLinc Nelson received $3,000 to support practicing counsellors in expanding LifeLinc’s counselling service to couples.
Plunket received $7,000 to fund a minimum of 12 free of charge PEPE courses (72 sessions) within Nelson and Marlborough. PEPE is a Plunket-developed national programme which consists of a series of five courses, aimed at supporting parents in their parenting role through the different stages of their child’s early development.
Whakatu Te Korowai Manaakitanga Trust (Te Korowai) received $5,000 to assist with promoting and providing financial literacy and budgeting services to Maori and Pacific Island whanau across Nelson and Tasman.
Q-Youth received $2,000 to contribute towards funding a part-time social worker for queer youth and their whanau.
